Wait It Out 03:53
Your life's at a standstill, And nothing's going your way. "Plod on and get to Friday, Wish your life away" is what they say. They're not wrong but it's wrong, it's not living, But what can you do? Keep on, don't give up the day job, Forge a plan for you. Just dig your heels. Never ending, I know, is how it feels. Patience is a virtue, But believe you've got it in you, To see it through, it's coming soon. Wait it out and keep your head. Ignore the thoughts of things unsaid. You gotta go the distance, weed out the dodgy dealings, Let perseverance manifest in your feelings. Wait your turn, it's round the corner. Thrash it out a little longer. Prolong the notion of stepping and apply some good de-stressing, Good times are on their way, getting closer by the day. Your love life's nonexistent, Your social life goes from strength to strength. All productivity stalled, it's your fault and everyone is to blame. Your attitude leaves a lot to be desired, quite frankly it stinks, And you couldn't give a flying fuck what anyone thinks. You grit your teeth, Chomping at the bit, you rue and seethe. Patience is a virtue but believe you've got it in you, To see it through, It's in the stars for you. Oooh... but time's-a-wasting. Eternally frustrating. The more you will it, the farther away it gets you. Just wait it out, And quell that doubt. Wait it out and keep your head, Ignore the thoughts of things unsaid. You gotta go the distance, weed out the dodgy dealings, Let patience manifest in your feelings. Wait your turn, it's round the corner. Thrash it out a little longer. Depend on self reliance and don't resort to violence, Good times are on their way, getting closer by the day.

Them 05:59
It was a night like any other, you might say. For me it was the dawn of a new day. Change needed for a while, you could argue, Hanging in the wrong sides of wrong avenues. I had my problems with authority. Not unique, and part conformity. My indifference was much the same. The system sucked and a broken family to blame. A soul lacking spirit, just floating by, Without purpose, reason or need to try. Feigning creativity, masked and bluffing. Not suffering for my art, just plain suffering. Working every hour under the sun, In an effort to avoid what they call "fun". Friends and friendships dying off all around us, My head bubbling over like molten lava. But then I get the call that you'd gone in. It was the moment of truth, time to sink or swim. Then complications set in and panic embedded, My chest felt the weight of the chances of death, But like that, You were here. It took a third of my life's expectancy, To realise there's more to it than just me. Looking back I wonder how I was existing, in a bubble for my own cause, persisting. I wasn't a product of my environment, I wonder why and what it all meant, But now I see, It's about them, and not me. Just a dead man walking, dumb man talking. Deaf to the calls and words of warning. Blind to the evils all around me, Ignorant to the needs of those that love me. Stifled to the point of frustration. Castrated mentally, no inspiration. Dependant on my flaws to rule and guide me, Redundant to the point of mental agony. It's all about them and not me. One add one makes two usually, But with me it didn't add up, you see? Distraction made rejection breed, But the addition of them planted the seed. For loyalty equating to, The obsession I now feel for you, You should know that it's true. The pride I feel is all too real, When I think of how our fate is now sealed. When times are hard, I have found, You give me the strength to turn it around. Hold me up when I start falling, Move me along when I start stalling now, Anyway, anyhow. Looking back it's plain to see, That darkened path looked bleak for me, My struggles with monogamy, Are now just distant memories, Extensions to the family tree, Where admission's free and guilt is too for me, Thankfully, I just wanted you to see.
